Audition Information

The Midwest Chamber Ensemble is currently adding musicians to it’s roster. We are specifically seeking string players but welcome additional musicians in all sections.

Those interested in applying to be added to the roster should send an email to Artistic Director Kathryn Hilger at midwestchamberensemble@gmail.com.

Please include the following information in your email:

• name and instrument

• contact information (email and telephone number).

• resume or C.V. attached

• video of a recent solo performance or orchestral audition

MCE does not have a set roster of musicians. Musicians who pass the audition will be put on a master list and may receive an invitation to play with the ensemble 6 weeks before a concert.  If you cannot play when asked, don't worry, you may be invited the next time. 

MCE typically rehearses the week prior to a concert: 4 or 5 rehearsals lasting 2.5 to 3 hours and a small stipend is offered.
